The National Theatre Company in The Hague occupies an obsolete building with a great deal of overdue maintenance and insufficient space.
The building is situated next to the magnificently renovated Royal Theatre. DHV analyzed the existing building structure and produced detailed renovation concepts based on the following main requirements indicated by the National Theatre Company; integration of a new rehearsal room in the existing lot next to the current rehearsal space and creating new, up to date accommodation which will provide sufficient space (literally and figuratively) for audience, theatre makers, actors and staff.
