A key element of the urban planning design for Lin Gang New City in eastern China is a major new logistics and distribution center. This will include a 'bonded' area serving the new deep-sea port nearby.
The center requires approximately one million square meters of floorspace, which will be achieved by means of stacked construction. In close collaboration with logistics consultant Districon, we designed such a stacked construction concept which incorporates a system of transport lines.
The design devotes considerable attention to matters of safety and to streamlining the goods flows to ensure maximum efficiency.
